Skills Development Coordination

Course Overview:

The objective of this course is to assist people who work in the field of Local Employment and Skills Development Practices. It could, however, be utilised in other related fields as well. Persons who completed this programme should be able to analyse the Skills Development Legislation and to implement and promote the Legislation in a national, provincial and local context.

This course will enable learners to:

• Develop an organisational training and development plan
• Provide information and advice regarding skills development and related issues
• Conduct skills development administration
• Advise on the establishment and implementation of a quality management system for skills development practices
• Co-ordinate skills development interventions
• Assess and promote a learning culture in an organisation
• Strategically align the training and development of skills in an organisation
• Promotion and understanding of the ETDP SETA Sector skills plan with focus on scarce and critical skills planning
