First Aid level 1

Course Overview:

A modular course based on international emergency scene management standards in accordance with the latest protocols. Delegates will attain the knowledge on providing basic life support to stabilise a patient prior to transfer to medical services.

This course will enable learners to:

• Recognise and understand emergency scene management in line with prescribed protocols
• Demonstrate an understanding of elementary anatomy and physiology
• Assess an emergency situation
• Render basic First Aid even if the required resources have to be improvised
• Apply First Aid procedures to the life-threatening situation
• Treat common injuries
